Why do I need the Kitchen Logbook?
All Catering Departments need to check, complete and document their practices to ensure they are legally compliant with current Food Safety law. The Kitchen logbook can also ensure that you have full due diligence in case of an issue that has to be investigated or resolved.
By using a Logbook, everything is set out for each day, week and month – this is a great way to help remind you of what checks should be made and when. This is especially applicable to weekly and monthly checks, which are easy to forget in a busy kitchen.
There are even critical limits in place and pointers on how to complete the checks correctly, so the Logbook also works as a training tool for supporting the development of other team members. This also enables the manager to confidently delegate some of the checks to other team members.
Our Kitchen Logbook ensures that all your due diligence records are readily available, in the correct date order, for the Environmental Health visits. Furthermore, it is much easier to manage and maintain and store when completed, than have loose sheets of paper.
